How do I export estate data to Excel?

Legacy Architects vision:

  • The ultimate vision with Legacy Architects is that you will never need to export data to any word processing or spreadsheet file for data sharing or approval purposes.

  • All estate data will be managed ongoing inside the Legacy Architects contact record, whether that includes editing estate data, tracking what is funded to the trust or not, tracking who is in charge of trust funding, removing assets as items are sold, adding assets as new items are bought, and reviewing version history as needed.

  • We also envision that your client will be able to review and affirmatively approve their estate data at certain points in time, such as prior to a signing meeting when you need to prepare trust funding guidance and acknowledgments for their signature.

Upcoming features to support the vision (not yet released):

  • Your client will be able to click an "Approve Estate Data" button on the estate tab to lock the editing and auto-notify the attorney that the client has approved that version of their data on that specific date/time.

  • You will be able export all data from the estate tab of the contact record into an Excel (CSV) file if needed.

Workaround:

  • For now, the estate tab is editable by you and your clients.

  • You can ask your clients to review their data and notify you outside of the Legacy Architects app as to when they approve what is appearing on their estate tab.
